Booking & Cancellation Policy

BOOKING POLICY
 

ATELIER PMU is a private, appointment-only studio. Each appointment is reserved exclusively for you, allowing for discretion, personalized attention, and dedicated time for consultation, preparation, design, and treatment.

To help ensure a smooth and thoughtfully coordinated experience for every client, the following policies outline important information regarding consultations, deposits, payments, rescheduling, cancellations, late arrivals, and other appointment-related matters.
 

A consultation may be required before certain services to determine treatment suitability, discuss expectations, review relevant information, and answer questions prior to treatment.
 

Treatment appointments are considered confirmed once the required deposit has been received.

 

CONSULTATIONS
 

Initial consultations are complimentary and do not require a deposit.
 

Depending on the service, a consultation may take place separately before treatment or may be incorporated into the scheduled treatment appointment when appropriate.
 

A consultation does not obligate the client to proceed with treatment. ATELIER PMU reserves the right to decline or postpone treatment if the procedure is determined not to be appropriate or safe for the client.

 

DEPOSITS
 

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure each scheduled treatment session and will be applied toward the cost of that session.
 

For treatments requiring or recommended to have multiple sessions, each separately scheduled treatment session may require its own $100 deposit, unless otherwise specified by Atelier PMU.
 

Certain complimentary check-ins, brief follow-up appointments, or other appointments specifically arranged by Atelier PMU may not require a deposit.
 

When an appointment is rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice, the deposit may be transferred one time to the rescheduled appointment.

 

PAYMENTS
 

The remaining treatment balance is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged in advance.
 

Payments may be made through Atelier PMU's online booking system powered by Vagaro, Zelle, or Venmo. Credit and debit card payments are also accepted in person at the studio via card reader.

 

RESCHEDULING
 

Appointments may be rescheduled one time with at least 48 hours' notice without losing the deposit. The existing $100 deposit will be transferred to the new appointment.
 

Rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice will result in forfeiture of the $100 deposit. A new $100 deposit will be required to secure another appointment.

 

COMMUNICATED CANCELLATION
 

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled appointment will result in forfeiture of the non-refundable $100 deposit. No additional cancellation fee will be charged.
 

Communicated cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will be charged 50% of the scheduled treatment price.
The $100 deposit already paid will be applied toward and is included in the 50% cancellation charge.

 

LATE ARRIVALS
 

Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time. If you expect to be late, please text Atelier PMU as soon as possible. I understand that unexpected delays can happen and will always do my best to accommodate you when possible.
 

Because paramedical tattooing and permanent makeup require adequate time to be performed carefully and properly, arrivals of more than 15 minutes late may require the treatment to be adjusted or the appointment to be rescheduled, depending on the service and the time remaining.
 

When possible, alternative arrangements may be discussed based on the treatment and individual circumstances.
 

If there is no longer sufficient time to properly complete the scheduled treatment, Atelier PMU reserves the right to reschedule the appointment. In this case, the original $100 deposit may be forfeited and a new $100 deposit may be required to secure the new appointment.

 

NO-CALL / NO-SHOW 
 

Clients who do not attend their scheduled appointment and do not provide notice will be charged 100% of the scheduled treatment price.
 

The $100 deposit already paid will be applied toward and is included in the total no-show charge.
 

Any outstanding balance may be required to be paid before another appointment can be booked, and a new $100 deposit will be required to secure the new appointment.

 

REFUNDS
 

Deposits and completed treatment services are non-refundable.
 

Results from paramedical tattooing and permanent makeup vary between individuals and depend on factors including skin type, healing response, lifestyle, aftercare, previous procedures, and pigment retention. For this reason, Atelier PMU cannot guarantee a specific healed result.
 

Once a treatment has been performed, refunds are not provided based solely on individual healing, pigment retention, or a change of preference. If you have concerns regarding your treatment or healed result, please contact Atelier PMU so the area can be evaluated and appropriate next steps can be discussed.
 

If you experience signs or symptoms of infection, an unusual or severe reaction, or other concerning medical symptoms following a procedure, please seek appropriate medical care.
 

If Atelier PMU must cancel an appointment and a suitable rescheduled appointment cannot be arranged, any deposit or payment associated with the unperformed service will be refunded or credited, as appropriate.

 

EMERGENCIES & EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES 
 

I understand that unexpected circumstances and emergencies can arise. If something beyond your control prevents you from attending or arriving on time for your appointment, please contact Atelier PMU as soon as possible.
 

Exceptions to the cancellation, rescheduling, or late-arrival policies may be considered at Atelier PMU's discretion on a case-by-case basis.
